Approach

What I offer

I offer a complementary therapeutic approach in hippotherapy to gently support psychological and emotional difficulties (stress, anxiety, low mood, burn-out…). I welcome adults and adolescents in a safe, caring and individually adapted setting. This approach does not replace medical or psychological follow-up when it exists.

My approach is experiential: understanding helps, but change takes root when the body lives new experiences, repeated in a safe setting. In a session, we first establish a secure framework and learn to recognise bodily signals. Being able to observe your state already means being able to influence it: we then train the regulation of the nervous system (breathing, grounding, rhythm, slow movements) to find an available calm.

From this more stable state, better-adapted responses can be chosen: taking the body and emotions into account, setting limits, asking, adjusting when discomfort arises. This foundation then supports deeper emotional and relational work, always step by step, without forcing, with tools that can be transferred to daily life.

No prior experience with horses is required.

My philosophy

  • Relationship before technique: the quality of the bond guides the proposed exercises.
  • The body as a compass: breathing, tone, rhythm, gestures; what is experienced matters as much as what is said.
  • Small steps: repeated micro-experiences that integrate into everyday life.
  • Autonomy & dignity: everyone moves at their own pace, with clear choices respected throughout the process.

The work is carried out with respect for equine welfare

A therapeutic accompaniment only makes sense if it fully respects the horse. In practice:

  • Fundamental needs preserved: herd life, freedom of movement, adapted roughage, rest time.
  • The horse’s capacities before human objectives.
  • Listening to the horse’s signals: any sign of discomfort leads to an immediate adaptation (rhythm, exercise, distance, pause).
